Visit Loire Valley CastlesEntry to the castle is not free on special days such as European Heritage Month or the first Sundays of certain months. However, children under the age of 6 enjoy free entry to the attraction throughout the year.
To avoid crowds, plan your visit to the castle during weekday mornings or before closing.
You can expect to spend at least 3-3.5 hours at the attraction.
Private guided tours are available at the attraction. The tours take place thrice a day and vary from month to month. In January and February, the guided tour timings are 11:30pm, 2:30pm and 4pm. From March to October, the timings are 11:30pm, 2:30pm and 4:15pm and in November and December, the timings are 11:30pm, 2:30pm and 3:45pm.
Though audio guides are unavailable, you can buy the visitors’ guidebook from the ticket office for free before starting your visit. The guidebook is available in English, French, Spanish, Italian and German.
For the convenience of guests with disabilities, the attraction has adapted toilets with adapted washbasins. Only the castle’s ground floor, basement, and park are accessible for wheelchair users.
